LUSAKA – Former Labour Minister and seasoned politician, Fackson Shamenda, has issued a stern rebuttal against what he terms as 'false statements' being disseminated by media personalities, bloggers, and platforms affiliated with the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND). Shamenda, a figure known for his candid commentary on Zambian politics, underscored the gravity of such misinformation, especially as the nation approaches a crucial election period. He highlighted that these fabricated reports are not only misleading to the public but also constitute a deliberate act of political propaganda aimed at distorting the narrative surrounding key political figures and the broader electoral landscape. His clarification comes amidst heightened political activities as various parties and individuals begin to position themselves for the 2026 polls. The former minister did not mince words regarding his intent to address these falsehoods. He revealed that he is actively considering taking appropriate legal action against individuals and media entities responsible for publishing and circulating these defamatory statements and false attributions. Shamenda urged the Zambian public to exercise caution and discernment, advising them to disregard such fabricated reports and to rely solely on his official statements as issued directly by him or through credible chann
