ZACCI Hails Puma’s PRIS Loyalty Programme
Lusaka, Zambia – The Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) has officially commended Puma Energy Zambia PLC for the launch of its innovative PRIS Loyalty Programme, hailing it as a pivotal development that underscores the growing importance of digital technology in improving customer engagement and driving economic growth. This new initiative, which introduces Zambia's first fully integrated, multi-tier digital fuel loyalty platform, is seen as a landmark private sector innovation set to redefine customer value in the petroleum retail sector. The PRIS Loyalty Programme operates through a user-friendly mobile application, allowing customers to accumulate points with every purchase of fuel, lubricants, and other eligible products at Puma Energy service stations. These points can then be redeemed for a variety of rewards, including fuel discounts, groceries, airtime, and other partner offers. Unlike traditional paper-based loyalty cards, the digital platform provides instant point updates and spending insights, offering a seamless and convenient experience for motorists across the country. The application is already rolled out in 72 of Puma Energy's 76 service stations, with full nationwide coverage anticipated soon. Speaking at the launch, ZACCI President Anthony Kabaghe emphasized that the PRIS programme represents more than just a customer rewards scheme. He highlighted its role in demonstrating how innovation and digital technology can fundamentally transform the relationship between businesses and consumers, ultimately enhancing service delivery and contributing significantly to Zambia's broader economic development. Kabaghe further noted that as the Zambian government actively pursues its Digital Transformation Agenda, the private sector bears a crucial responsibility to invest in technologies that foster competitiveness and deliver tangible value to consumers. Puma Energy Zambia's Managing Director, Zwelithini Mlotshwa, echoed this sentiment, stating
