Approximately 808 children are born with clubfoot in Zambia every year
Lusaka, Zambia – An alarming statistic has emerged regarding congenital deformities in Zambia, with approximately 808 children born with clubfoot each year. The organisation collaborates with various health institutions and community leaders to raise awareness, train healthcare professionals, and establish clinics where affected children can receive the necessary care. Addressing the prevalence of clubfoot requires a multi-faceted approach involving public awareness campaigns, improved antenatal care to identify potential risk factors, and robust post-natal screening programmes. The Ministry of Health, in conjunction with partners like Hope Walks Zambia, plays a crucial role in integrating clubfoot manag
