Artisan, Boilermaker

:\r\n\r\nOverall Job Purpose\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nResponsible to execute both planned and unplanned maintenance work on a shift by shift basis safely and effectively.\u00a0 The shift Artisan will perform maintenance activities in a safe and effective manner with the aim of delivering results that meet quality standards and company expectations.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSpecific Job Responsibility\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;\r\n\r\n \tMaintenance works in the crushers and M.I.G welding will be an added advantage\r\n \tCarry out daily inspections on the conveyor steel structures and chutes\r\n \tFitment of liners in the chutes\/thermal lancing of mantle liners and any heavy duty steel\r\n \tGeneral fabrication\r\n \tProvide training and development opportunities for all direct reports on an ongoing basis, with a particular focus on Zambian employees\r\n \tDevelop and manufacture cable racking bends and off-sets and install\r\n \tFull welding skills-vertical up, horizontal (stick welding)\r\n \tBe able to work with minimal supervision\r\n \tUse oxy and Acetylene cutting torches.\r\n \tAble to read and work from schematic drawings and on site variations.\r\n \tPerform any other duties as directed by the Supervisor\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nJob Specific Competencies\r\n\r\n \tAble to interrupt complex Fabrication drawings\r\n \tCNC brake press and plasma cutter experience\r\n \tGood making out knowledge and experienced with development layouts of things like: \u2013\r\n\r\n \tsquare to rounds\r\n \tsteps\r\n \tlobster backs\r\n \tcones\r\n \tchutes\r\n\r\n\r\n \tExperience with heavy fabrication\r\n \tFixed and Mobile plant experience\r\n \tPipe fitting and fabrication\r\n \tWorking knowledge and experience of pre pinch rollers, guillotine, punch & shears, band saw\r\n \tPressure welding skill\r\n \tMIG & TIG experience\r\n \tThe welding of aluminium and cast iron\r\n \tOxy lancing\r\n \tAir arc gouging\r\n \tWelding with gas and gasle
