Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Description Our client, a wholly owned Zambian Microfinance Institution licensed and regulated by the Bank of Zambia, is looking to hire a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead their team. The CEO will provide strategic leadership and executive management that ensures sustainable growth, profitability, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, effective risk management, and long-term business sustainability. The CEO will also lead the implementation of the Board-approved strategy while fostering a high-performance culture and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Corporate Governance Implement Board-approved policies, resolutions, and strategic decisions. Provide strategic advice and recommendations to the Board. Ensure compliance with corporate governance principles and regulatory requirements. Promote ethical conduct, accountability, and transparency throughout the institution. Strategic Planning Lead the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of the Strategic Plan. Drive innovation, transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify growth opportunities and emerging market trends. Ensure achievement of strategic and business objectives. Operations Management Oversee the efficient delivery of financial products and services. Monitor branch and departmental performance. Promote operational efficiency and customer service excellence. Ensure effective utilisation of organisational resources. Credit and Portfolio Management Travel Guides & Travelogues Provide oversight of credit operations and portfolio performance. Ensure adherence to approved credit policies and procedures. Monitor portfolio quality and maintain acceptable Portfolio at Risk (PAR) levels. Oversee loan recovery and collections strategies. Business Development and Marketing Drive customer acquisition, retention, and business growth initiatives. Develop strategic partnerships and business opportunities. Enhance the institution’s mark
