Industrial Hygienist – LEP

Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Industrial Hygienist – LEP (Fixed Term) to join the Lumwana Expansion Project Team. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Generating Similar Exposure Groups (SEGs) and formulating Sampling Plans. Conducting Noise, Dust, Illumination, Radiation, Vibration, and VOC monitoring and other occupational exposure monitoring. Identifying occupational health hazards and recommending appropriate engineering, administrative, and personal protective controls. Ensuring employee awareness of occupational health and safety concerns, programs, and regulations by conducting training and presentations. Implementing corrective actions and suspending operations if required. Advising and collaborating with management to resolve occupational health issues. Creating and executing studies to monitor and assess employees’ exposure to health risks and to measure the effectiveness of occupational health programs, policies, and procedures. Proposing and leading the implementation of programs to protect employee health and implementing ergonomics. Advising various parties on workers’ compensation claims pertaining to workplace exposures.
