Through Bila, our payment aggregation platform, we enable businesses to collect payments seamlessly through mobile money, bank transfers, payment links, QR codes, USSD, and other digital payment channels. Geographic Reference As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Sales to lead merchant acquisition, revenue growth, and sales team performance across Zambia. Role Summary The Head of Sales will be responsible for driving the commercial growth of Bila by acquiring high-quality merchants, increasing transaction volumes, building strategic relationships, and leading a team of field sales representatives. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring an individual who is comfortable both in the field engaging merchants and in the office managing performance, reporting, coaching, and sales strategy. The successful candidate will be expected to build a high-performing sales culture focused on merchant acquisition, activation, transaction growth, and revenue generation. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership Lead, coach, and manage the Bila sales team. Set and monitor individual and team sales targets. Conduct weekly sales reviews and performance coaching sessions. Build and implement sales strategies to drive merchant acquisition and growth. Merchant Acquisition Identify, prospect, and onboard high-quality merchants. Develop relationships with SMEs, retailers, wholesalers, service providers, and enterprise clients. Drive field sales activities and merchant engagement initiatives.
