Temporal Archives Digitization Assistants

\r\nJOB PURPOSE\r\n\r\nThe Archives Digitising Assistant will be responsible for scanning and digitally preserving historical records in accordance with archival best practices. The role involves handling fragile and rare materials with care, creating high-quality digital images, and ensuring accurate meta data entry to facilitate long-term preservation and access.\r\n\r\nKEY RESULT AREAS\r\nOrganising Records- Ensure records earmarked for scanning are clean, complete, and well labelled\r\nScanning of Records- Operate scanning equipment to create high-resolution digital copies of historical documents, photographs and other archival materials\r\nEntry of Meta Data-\u00a0Assign accurate file names and descriptive metadata for each scanned item for retrieval purposes.\r\nQuality Control- Inspect scanned images for clarity, completeness, and colour accuracy.
