JOB SUMMARY The Stores Officer is a middle management position responsible for the efficient and effective management of the organization’s inventory to support the achievement of its strategic goals and objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plan, manage, and control warehouse operations, including stock planning, monitoring usage, and timely replenishment. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and generate periodic inventory reports. Support procurement processes by assisting with ordering materials and services to maintain optimal stock levels. Identify and evaluate sourcing options for materials and prepare recommendations for management. Ensure all procured materials meet specifications provided by user departments. Conduct regular inventory audits, including stock counting and sampling. Track orders, deliveries, and invoices, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping. Review inventory levels and recommend disposal of obsolete or redundant stock. Prepare budget estimates for inventory requirements and support procurement planning.
