Analyst – Budgeting

:\r\n\r\nMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES\r\n\r\nBudget Preparation & Oversight\r\n\r\n \tAssist in the development of NO support cost budgets, Area Program budgets, and grant\/projects budgets in collaboration with relevant departments.\r\n \tConsolidate budget inputs from various units and ensure alignment with strategic priorities and donor requirements.\r\n \tParticipate in budget review sessions and provide technical input to improve accuracy and completeness.\r\n \tSupport the preparation of budget narratives and justifications for internal and external stakeholders.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSystem Uploads & LDR Management\r\n\r\n \tPrepare and validate budget uploads into Horizon\/Impaq\/Sun System and other financial systems in collaboration with Shared Services, ensuring consistency with approved figures.\r\n \tManage Labor Distribution Reports (LDRs), including adjustments and journal entries, to ensure accurate allocation of staff costs.\r\n \tCoordinate with People and Culture and finance teams to resolve discrepancies in LDR data and ensure alignment with payroll records.\r\n \tMaintain documentation of uploads and LDR changes for audit and reporting purposes.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPBAS Commitments & Review\/Reconciliation\r\n\r\n \tMonitor PBAS (Planning, Budgeting and Accountability System) commitments and ensure they are aligned with approved budgets.\r\n \tReview PBAS reports regularly to identify variances and initiate corrective actions where necessary.\r\n \tReconcile PBAS data with Horizon and other systems to ensure consistency and integrity of financial information.\r\n \tSupport the Senior Analyst in preparing PBAS status updates for management and donors.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nCost Allocation at NO Level\r\n\r\n \tSupport the implementation of cost allocation methodologies for shared services and support functions at the NO level.\r\n \tPrepare cost allocation schedules and ensure they are applied consistently across programs and departments.\r\n \tLiaise with program tea
